Who We Are

Four community journalists comprise the Taylor Newspaper Family: Rudy and Kathy Taylor, Andy Taylor and Jenny Taylor Diveley. They publish four newspapers in southeast Kansas and keep alive a legacy that was started in the late 1800s by Kathy’s great-grandfather, William George. It was continued by her grandfather, Frank E. George, and her father, H.K. “Skeet” George. Today, with the younger Taylors in their publishing roles, it keeps alive five generations of Kansas editors — the only ones in Kansas.

Rudy and Andy’s background in broadcasting is apparent in this site, enabling you to listen to newscasts, quips, news, sports interviews and some pithy editorials and columns which you will enjoy hearing in their own voices.
