Write-in campaign announced for Frank Green

Write-in campaign announced for Frank Green

Frank Green has announced plans to seek a write-in campaign for Chautauqua County Sheriff, the position he currently holds.

Green lost his bid for re-election in the Aug. 6 primary election to Perry Russell of rural Peru. He is asking local friends and supporters to write-in ‘Frank Green” when they go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Green said in his 12 years of service to Chautauqua County, he has built a reputation as a lawman that not only protects the residents of the county but also points to his caring genuinely for the welfare of those he interacts with on the job.

He believes the low voter turnout in the recent primary will make possible a successfull write-in victory.

The Write In Green political action committee has been formed to organize a successful campaign for Green and Melodi Jones of Sedan is the spokesperson and treasuerer for the effort.

Jones said the PAC was legally registered and will follow all guidelines by the state campaign ethics commission.

She said over the coming weeks, the PAC will be attempting to raise awareness of Green’s campaign and exactly how voters should write in his name on the Nov. 4 ballot.
