The Sedan High School Blue and White volleyball and football scrimmage will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28. Volleyball games will begin at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium, with football beginning at 6 p.m. at Prather Field.

The Sedan High School Student Council will also be serving free watermelon following the football scrimmage on the south end of the field. The public is invited to attend.

This year admission to the scrimmages will provide a service to our community. The Community Food Bank is in need of non-perishable food items. SHS would like all patrons to donate an item or items to the food bank when you attend the scrimmages. Boxes will be located at the gym entrance and the football gate entrance. Place your donated items in the box and the SHS Student Council will see that the items are delivered.

The Community Food Bank cannot accept food that has passed the expiration date. Check dates carefully. Some suggested items are canned meats and fruits, tuna, soup, pastas, and pasta sauces. They have already received a lot of canned vegetables, so limit those donations.
Remember that everything you donate will be given to the Community Food Bank.

SHS appreciates your support of their teams and the community! The community is invited to the scrimmages and encouraged to wear blue.
