The Sedan Library and the Library Puppet Population has story time each Wednesday at 3:40 p.m., for children preschool through nine years old.

The Tuesday Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet on Sept. 2, at 7 a.m. The speaker will be Don McCloud.

There will be a dance at the Moline American Legion hall featuring the Jerry Cole western band Friday, Aug. 29, 7-10 p.m. Admission is a dish of your favorite finger food and a $4 cover charge. There will be fried chicken and door prizes. Sponsored by Thomasine Hedrick.

On Thursday, Sept. 4, the St. Agnes Guild of the Epiphany Episcopal Church will have a luncheon at noon followed by a meeting at 1 p.m.

The Sedan Senior Citizens will have a covered dish meal at noon on Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Senior Center.

The Sedan Lions Club will meet on Monday, Sept. 8, at noon at the Ranch Restaurant.

Commodites for the seven Chautauqua County distribution sites may be picked up on Monday, Sept., 15, from 1-4 p.m., at the Sedan Senior Center.

Commodities for Sedan residents will be available for pick up on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 9-10 a.m. at the Sedan Senior Center.

Women Welcoming Women for a period of Calm (WWW.CALM) will resume serving lunch at no charge to the women of the Sedan community on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served in the basement of the First Christian Church, 204 N. Chautauqua.

S.A.E.D.C. will hold it’s regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 5:15 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Kurtis Artis Plaza.

The Sedan High School Blue and White volleyball and football scrimmage will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28.  Volleyball games will begin at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium, with football beginning at 6 p.m. at Prather Field.
The Sedan High School Student Council will also be serving free watermelon following the football scrimmage on the south end of the field.  The public is invited to attend.

Chautauqua County Farm Bureau will celebrate the statewide Farm Bureau Day by giving away free popcorn at the Sept. 5 home football game at a table outside the concession stand.

A bonfire will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 2, beginning at 8:30 p.m., between the rodeo arena and the ball field.  The public is invited to come and support the SHS athletes.  This event is sponsored by the SHS cheerleaders.
