Round Up Club Queen contestants selected

Two area young ladies are competing to become the 2008 Sedan Round Up Club Queen - Bobbie Julian of Moline and Paxton Kerley of Sedan. They are selling advance tickets to the rodeo on Friday and Saturday, June 20-21, as part of the competition and will also be judged on horsemanship and personality and appearance. Both young ladies will be introduced at the rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights with the Queen being crowned during the Saturday night performance. They will also be riding in the parade Saturday morning.

Bobbie is the 14-year-old daughter Steve and Sissy Julian of Moline. She will be a freshman at West Elk Jr./Sr. High. Bobbie is active in volleyball, basketball, and math contest and also enjoys rodeos, hanging out with her friends, and riding four-wheelers.

Paxton is the 14 year old daughter of Dawn and Guy Kerley of Sedan. She will be a freshman at Sedan High School. Paxton enjoys working with horses and goats, 4-H, cheerleading, hanging with friends, and shopping. Paxton also volunteers at Rainbow Meadows Ranch Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc.

The Sedan Round Up Club wishes both of the these young ladies good luck in the competition. The queen will be awarded a trophy saddle and buckle when she is crowned as the 36th Sedan Round Up Club Queen.
