The instrumental music department of Sedan USD 286 will present
their spring concert on April 29 at 7 p.m. in the New Gym. The concert
will feature the 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, Jr./Sr. High Concert Band
and the Elementary String Ensemble.
The 5th and 6th grade bands will each be playing a variety of songs
showing the skills they have developed. The Jr./Sr. High Concert Band will
perform the pieces they played at competition this month, as well as a
couple of marches and other selections. The Elementary String Ensemble will
also perform a variety of songs, including one of the selections they
performed for 4-H days, winning a top blue ribbon.
The students are under the direction of Mrs. Rosie Sweaney and Miss
Trish Roudybush. The concert is free. Wordworking exhibits by the students
of Mr. Dan Hadley will also be on display in the lobby of the new gym.
