Perry and his wife Babette have a small farm in the Peru area. They have four adult children and three grandchildren. Perry has served as a board member of Four County Mental Health and as board chairman of Crawford County Extension Service. The Russells are affiliated with the Community Christian Church in Independence. He also volunteers as a firefighter with the Peru Fire Department.
Perry has remained a resident of Chautauqua County with a desire to serve the citizens as a sheriff who will be fair and committed to the code of ethical law enforcement standards the community deserves.
At last, a candidate who might actually stand a chance of ousting Frank Green, who has been a scourge on this county for far too long.
My advice to Mr. Russell is to watch your back, because Frank Green has been known to do whatever it takes to win, including harassing candidates. Never thinnk that he won’t cross the line of the law to get at you or your family. The man will do ANYTHING to keep his position. Be careful and good luck.
