Schmidt plans listening tour in Chautauqua County
Senator Derek Schmidt will continue his annual district listening tour with six stops in Chautauqua County on
Friday, April 11.
Each year, Schmidt sets aside time to visit every incorporated town in the nine-county 15th Senate District in order to be easily available to
any constituent who wants to bend his ear on any subject.
“To be a good representative of people, you have to be a good listener,” said Schmidt, R-Independence. “This is a chance for me to
keep in touch with the people I represent. I hope folks will take time to come by and share what’s on their minds and to let me know if they
have any troubles with state government that I might be able to help resolve.”
In addition to coming to a listening tour stop, citizens with comments or concerns about Kansas public policy or who need help with any aspect
of state government can contact Schmidt year-around at the State Capitol, Room 390-E, Topeka, Kansas 66612 or by phone at (785) 296-2497. They also can send e-mail through his website at www.DerekSchmidt.com.
