Elk County will receive $96,262 in federal funds to pay for security cameras in local schools, according to Byrdee Miller, Emergency Preparedness Manager for Elk County.

A total of $16 million will be distributed nationwide and Elk County was the only recipient in the state of Kansas to receive the School Safety funds.
