The opening night of the state football playoffs didn’t fare well for two area teams.

The Sedan Blue Devils lost to Pittsburg-Colgan, 41-6, in the class 2A state playoffs while Central-Burden was drubbed by Goessel, 50-20, in the Eight Man I state playoff opener.
