Sedan High School will play Jayhawk-Linn in the opening round of the class 2A sub-state volleyball tournament at Pittsburg-Colgan High School on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Sedan is seeded fifth with a 17-17 record while Jayhawk-Linn is seeded fourth with a 21-16 record.
The game will be held following the opening round match between Uniontown and Humboldt. The Uniontown/Humboldt match begins at 2 p.m.
Should Sedan win against Jayhawk-Linn, then the Blue Devils will advance to a semi-final round game against the Uniontown/Humboldt winner.
Meanwhile, West Elk High School’s volleyball taem will play Oswego in an opening round game at the same tournament. West Elk is seeded third with a 23-14 record while Oswego is seeded sixth with a 10-24 standing.
The West Elk/Oswego game will be held after a Pittsburg-Colgan/Marmaton Valley match that begins at 2 p.m
A win over Oswego would propel the Patriots to a semi-final round game against the Pittsburg-Colgan/Marmaton Valley winner.
