Sedan High School’s fall sports teams will hold Blue/White scrimmages on Thursday, Aug. 27.

The SHS volleyball team will scrimmage at 5 p.m., in the SHS Gymnasium while the SHS football team will hold a public scrimmage at 6:30 p.m., at Prather Field.

The Blue Devil football team will hold its first game of the season on Friday, Sept. 4, at Oklahoma Union with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile the Sedan High School volleyball team will begin its season at Caney Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with matches against Caney Valley, Fredonia and Coffeyville. Matches will begin at 5 p.m

Admission to the Blue-White Scrimmage is one canned food item or non-perishable food item that will be given to a local food bank. All Blue Devils fans are attend to attend the scrimmage.

The Sedan Blue Devil Booster Club is eager for the upcoming volleyball and football seasons and is gearing up for fans to wear some blue and make noise for the athletes.

During the annual blue/white scrimmage, the boosters will be taking orders for Sedan Blue Devil hooded all-weather jackets. Additionally, there will be Blue Devil magnets and decals available for purchase. The scrimmage will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27 beginning with volleyball at 5 p.m. and football at 6:30 p.m.

Other Blue Devil hooded sweatshirts and T-shirts can be purchased at the Red Buffalo Gift Shop in downtown Sedan. An assortment of sizes for children through adults will be available in the next few weeks.
