The staff of the Prairie Star would like to announce a new “Summer Fruit Salad Contest” that will be held now through June 26. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 1.

You may enter by sending your favorite fruit salad recipe, on a card, with your name and address and phone number on it. There will be a bowl for you to bring your entrant cards in to the Prairie Star office in downtown Sedan.

Also, we will collect recipes along the paper delivery route each Wednesday, or you can mail it in to Prairie Star, P.O. Box 417, Sedan, KS 67361, or email it to margie@taylornews.org.

The winner will receive a “Chef’s Basket” that will contain specialty items purchased locally that any cook will enjoy.

You don’t need to be present at the drawing to win.
