Photography workshop offered in Sedan

10570563-533x800jpgThe Kurtis Art School in Sedan is pleased to announce a Digital Photography Workshop presented by Gene Wineland, a professional photographer and college photography instructor for 35 years. The cost of the class will be $125 (minimum enrollment for the class to meet is six students). Each student must have a digital camera.

Cameras and image capture subjects will start on Friday, June 5 from 6-9 p.m. Uploading images and basic retouching will be covered that Friday from 1-4 p.m.

On Saturday, from 7-9 a.m., the photography class will be held on location in the Flint Hills.  The photography class will again meet on location in the Flint Hills that evening from 6-9 p.m., and will end on Sunday,  June 7 from 1-4 p.m., learning how to burn CD’s and print images.

The Kurtis Art School will also be sponsoring a work shop on watercolors. The instructor will be Marilyn S. Ballard. She is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a B.A. degree in Art and Elementary Education. She completed post graduate studies in Art at SEMO University and the University of Kansas. She teaches private classes in Watercolors, Acrylics, and Pottery and enjoys participating in various art shows. Her workshop will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 15 and 16, at the Arts Plaza.
