Three area high schools will award seniors their high school diplomas this weekend.  The class of 2009 will graduate this weekend at Sedan High School, West Elk High School, and Burden-Central High School.

Twenty-five Sedan High School seniors will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas at the commencement ceremony this Saturday, May 16, 10 a.m., in the new gymnasium.

The 2009 graduates from Sedan include: (class officers) Courtney Werts, president; Jayson Stettler, vice-president; Megan Smith, secretary; Kirsten Roberts, treasurer; Brooke Foster, Student Council representative; Shucota Vandagriff, Student Council representative; (class members) Kellie Allison, Caleb Bechtle, Jefery Beckley, Lauren Bell, Nikita Bradshaw, Caitlyn Brim, Chad Buttram, Austin Ford, Kody Gorby, Taylor Green, Haley Ford, Brock Jones, Bailey LeGrand, James Little, Alvin Loggins, Brandon McCann, Justin McCoy, Martha Stettler, and Jerry Stuart.

An evening ceremony will host the 2009 graduates of West Elk High School this Saturday evening at 7 p.m., in the high school gymnasium.  Diplomas will be presented to 24 members of the class as well as a senior slide show, senior scholarships, presentation of the salutatorian and valedictorian, and presentation of the class.

The senior class at Burden-Central will be honored with the commencement ceremony this Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. in the Central Jr.-Sr. High School gymnasium.
