It’s baking time in Longton!
It’s biscuit baking time in Longton and all bakers are invited to enter the Biscuit Bake-Off on May 2 at the Longton Senior Center. The fundraising event is being sponsored by the Longton Historical Society.
Rules for the bake-off are that the biscuits must be made from scratch; each contestant needs to bring one dozen biscuits; contestants need to be at the Longton Senior Center by 9 a.m., as they will not be able to accept biscuits after 9 a.m.; and biscuits will be voted on by the public.
The first ticket will be $5 which includes a biscuit and gravy breakfast and one vote. Each additional ticket will be $1 for voting only. children 3 years of age and under are free.
