Three Tyro residents on drug charges

TYRO — Three Tyro residents were arrested early Thursday following an narcotics investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Robert Dierks identified the three people as Timothy F. Timmerman, age 39; Christopher W. Blevins, age 35; and Norma J. Johnson, age 33. The three people were discovered inside a Tyro residence at the time a search warrant was executed at the home.

Dierks said investigators from the sheriff’s department, with assistance from the Coffeyville Police Department, gathered information regarding narcotics activity the manufacture of methamphetamines.  Upon searching the home, which belonged to Timmerman, deputies found evidence of narcotics possession and manufacturing. Dierks said deputies discovered a large amount of clandestine manufacturing evidence at the scene.

Timmerman, Blevins and Johnson were taken to the Montgomery County Jail where the following charges will be recommended: possession of methamphetamines, attempted manufacturing of methamphetamines, possession of marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dierks said a hazardous materials unit responded to the home to assure the proper clean up and disposal of chemicals used in the drug manufacturing process.

Dierks also said he appreciated the help of the Coffeyville Police Department in the preliminary investigation, arrests and processing the scene for evidence.
