Cammie Dodson cast a slight grin while leading her bucket calf into the arena during Saturday’s judging competition at the Cherryvale Youth Fair. Dodson, daughter of Jeremy and Cheri Dodson, resides in rural Liberty. The annual Cherryvale Youth Fair — the first of a busy fair season — drew more than 160 participants last week. Fair officials said participants from four area counties competed in three days of events and fun activities. Dubbed as “the biggest little fair in Kansas,” the Cherryvale Youth Fair has been held for many decades and incorporates involvement between youths and adults.
