CHERRYVALE — The City of Cherryvale will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Cherryvale City Hall for a presentation regarding a spray park to be built in Logan Park.

The spray park, which includes various fountains and sprayer devices, is being used in other communities as an alternative to swimming pool construction. Spray parks or spray grounds typically are free and do not require staffing.

The spray park does not include a swimming pool, however city administrator Greg McDanel has said that a spray park could fill a gap in the community during the time when money was being raised to build a new swimming pool.

The meeting is open to the public.
