Easter egg hunts scheduled in area towns

The  Lions Club will sponsor its annual H.K. George Memorial Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Feed on Saturday, April 23, at Caney Valley High School.

The Lions Club pancake and sausage breakfast will be held in the CVHS Cafeteria from 7:30 to 10 a.m. with a freewill donation taken at the door.

The Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m., sharp. The egg hunt will be held outside on the east side of the high school. Those attending should be there a little early to ensure participation in the event which is for toddlers through 11 years of age.

In addition to the Caney Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt, another Easter egg hunt will be held at the Caney Guest Home Estates, 400 S. McGee (Highway 75),at 10:20 a.m., also on Saturday, April 23. All local children are invited to attend this event.

A community Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Sunday, April 24, at 2 p.m. on the lot behind Cherry Bowl Lanes & Grill in Cherryvale.

Donations for prizes are being accepted, and to make a donation for the Easter Egg Hunt contact Diana Woldum or the Cherry Bowl Lanes.

An Easter egg hunt also will be held at the Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23.

The City of Independence’s Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 2 p.m., at Riverside Park.

The Little House on the Prairie Museum will hold Easter egg hutns for three age divisions (separate hunts for each division) at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23.  The hunts are open for kids age 1 to 10.
