CANEY — USD 4367-Caney Valley Board of Education members will take action on two items when they meet for their monthly meeting on Monday, Dec. 13. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in the board meeting room.

The two action items include approving or disapproving a contract for a high school teaching position and the CVHS Band trip planned for March 2012.

Other items on the agenda are the discussion and information concerning school finance and the charter school grant. Regular monthly reports will be presented by the Tri-County representative, Darlene Sanders; recreation commission report by Robert Hawthorne; and the principals’, transportation/maintenance and superintendent’s reports.

An executive session, which is closed to the press and public, will be called if needed on the subjects of teacher negotiations and personnel.

The consent agenda will be held at the beginning of the meeting which is routine business concerning the meeting minutes, and the paying of bills, salaries and financial statements.
