INDEPENDENCE — Montgomery County Commission chairman Tony Fowler announced at Monday’s weekly commission meeting that he had “no intention” of seeking re-election in 2010.

Fowler is in the final year of his four-year term, which ends in early January 2011. Noon Thursday, June 10, is the deadline for persons to register for election to the position of Montgomery County Commission, District 1.
