Two debate programs in Montgomery County will be heading to state debate tournaments in January.

At separate regional debate tournaments held Saturday, Caney Valley and Coffeyville’s Field Kindley high schools won first place in their respective classifications — thereby affording them a ticket to the state debate tournaments to be held Jan. 22-23 in Goddard, Kan.
