Veterans Day Parade set for Saturday in Havana

HAVANA — It was 10 years ago that a few people from a small town decided that they too should have some sort of community event, and in turn the idea developed for the town of Havana to host their own Veteran’s Day Celebration each year. The celebration this year will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7.

CHERRYVALE WINS 28-20

The Cherryvale Chargers knocked out the Riverton Rams in Tuesday’s class 3a state playoff opener, 28-20, in front of  a capacity crowd Logan Park Stadium.

Cherryvale, now 10-0, will play at Silver Lake on Saturday, Nov. 7, with the kickoff time to be determined.  Check back at this website for more details, and be sure to read the Nov. 5 edition of the Montgomery County Chronicle for complete coverage of the Chargers’ victory.
