Four people were injured in a two–vehicle collision south of Cherryvale on Wednesday night.
Sheriff Robert Dierks said a 1997 Chevrolet S10 truck driven by Melissa L. White, 2150 Grand Avenue, Cherryvale,, was traveling eastbound on County Road 4600 and failed to stop at the intersection, crossing on to Olive Street Road, in the path of a 1994 Chevrolet Pickup driven by Wade A. Nading, 708 A. Street, Oswego. The Nading vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road 5700 colliding with the vehicle driven by White.
Nading and his passenger, Harmony E. Humaciu, 314 S. Olive, Cherryvale, were transported by Independence EMS to Mercy Hospital.
White and her passenger, Adam L. Greve, 17020 Ford Road, Mound Valley, were airlifted by helicopter from the scene.
Humaciu and Nading were treated for abrasions and cuts. However, White and Greve sustained a larger amount of trauma. And, friends of the Greve family report that Greve had been placed in a drug-induced coma to reduce the extent of swelling to the brain.
