The Montgomery County Commission on Monday settled on a proposed mill levy of 51.876 mills for fiscal 2010, which represents a 22.6 percent increase from the current 2009 budget year.  The current 2009 mill levy is 42.299 mills.

The bulk of the tax increase will be devoted to meeting anticipated tax refunds for the Coffeyville Resources nitrogen plan and refinery.  Most county programs will not see an increase in spending for 2010.
