UPDATE: 1955-57 Chevy Bel Aire sought in connection with deadly crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released more information regarding a deadly crash in Nowata County that claimed the lives of two Caney residents and injured four others.

Amy Blagg, 44, of Caney and her 15-year-old son, Kyler, were killed in the wreck which happened the evening of May 9th on U.S. 169 highway, just north of Delaware, Okla.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said it is interested in speaking with anyone who may have information about a third vehicle which left the scene of the wreck. The vehicle is described as a 1955 to 1957 black Chevy Bel Aire.  The car reportedly has many chrome features.

The vintage car is believed to be in the process of passing another vehicle, prompting the Blagg vehicle to take evasive measures to avoid the collision. However, the Blagg vehicle lost control and ended up colliding with the vehicle that was being passed by the Chevy car.

Anyone with information about the car can contact OHP Trooper James Loftis at 918-256-3388.

Amy Blagg and Kyler Blagg were buried Friday in a rural Coffeyville cemetery following a funeral service that was attended by more than 800 mourners at the First Southern Baptist Church.
