Members of the Cherryvale High School cheerleading squad have been spending their summer weeks preparing their cheers and routines for the 2008-09 school year.

And, they have a trophy to show off their hard work during the summer.

The squad returned from a Universal Cheerleading Association Camp held in Manhattan, Kan., on July 10-12 with a trophy for being the top team in their division. The team also earned honors in skills and sharpness.

While at the camp, squad members Sarah Hagebusch and Myranda Prather were named all-Americans while fellow team members Sami Jameson, Camden Blaes and Jaimee Littell were all-American nominees.

The nine-member team includes Dixie Allen, Jaimee Littell, Kimmy Booe, Myranda Prather, Katie Russell, Sami Jameson, Sarah Hagebusch, Camden Blaes and Missy White. The squad is coached by Kris Littell.
