Two members of the Valley Victors 4-H Club were named king and queen of the 87th Annual Montgomery County 4-H Fair on Tuesday night. Prior to the fair’s annual Style Revue at the Independence Memorial Hall, Grant Gartner and Tina Voelker were named king and queen.  First runners-up were Sam Burdick of the Cheery Cherokees and Shannon Blaes of the Happy Hustlers.  Second runners-up were Brice Rohling and Amber Traxson, both of the Peppy Progressive 4-H Club. Fair activities continue on Thursday, July 24, with the rabbit show. More fair judging events will be held on Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27 at the Independence Riverside Park.  The fair’s annual livestock auction will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, July 28. Read the July 24 edition of the Montgomery County Chronicle for more details about the Montgomery County 4-H Fair. — Andy Taylor
