On May 14, 1938, she married Donald Edward “Snoox” Stine in Oswego. They made their home on the Stine family farm east of Edna. In her later years, she and Grace Carroll enjoyed planting flowers, trees, and gardens together. There is still a small strawberry patch at her house.
Other hobbies Helen enjoyed at different times in her life were bowling, playing cards, creating beautiful ceramic pieces, sewing, and cooking delicious meals for family and friends who often visited her home.
