The City of Chetopa has declared a water usage emergency, asking citizens to cease watering gardens, plants, lawns and filling pools. You should water your animals and continue to do household chores that involve water. Mayor Ron Wood commented that one fire in the community could result in firefighters having to empty the water tower, so please honor the request to conserve water in Chetopa.
