Two employees of Foley Tractor CAT rebuild program talked to the Labette County Commissioners at Monday’s meeting on possible cost-saving measures of rebuilding versus buying new road and bridge equipment.
Sandy Krider, road and bridge supervisor and Richard Johnson and Rodney Warren presented facts and figures regarding rebuilding three of the county’s large equipment, a loader a truck and a motor grader. No decision was made at this time.
IN OTHER ACTION at Monday’s meeting:
Tom Macaronas, Labette Health interim CEO and Broc Sutherland, building/grounds supervisor Labette Health, gave an update on the new CEO, Jodi Schmidt who will be the new President and Chief Executive Officer on Aug. 23. She is coming from the Hays area. An open house will be planned at a later date. A board of 30 people interviewed 108 applications for this position, narrowing it down to four, before selecting Schmidt, Macaronas said.
