The Labette County Fair Board was held on May 26, at the fair board office at the fair grounds in Oswego.
The meeting was called to order by President Steve McKinzie with nine 9 members and two guest present. The April minutes were read by Bill Chapman, Jr. and were approved as read. John Strickland gave treasurer’s report. Read more

Bartlett Second Grade had a class reading picnic on May 25. They hiked over to the shelter house and put their blankets down to eat lunch. After lunch they all enjoyed books, they read alone, to buddies, and as a group. Parsons, Ks – Tornado sirens blowing in Parsons early Wednesday morning were reportedly caused by a malfunction according to the Police Department, however, something blew through town resulting in extensive damage to KLKC Radio Station at 1812 Main and Jock’s Nitch Sporting Goods at 1814 Main.
