Oswego Community Hospital has announced plans for a new medical clinic in Chetopa. The official name will be the Chetopa Community Clinic.It will be located at 429 Maple Street, Chetopa.
Parking will be along Maple and Fifth streets. The main entrance and parking will be designed in conjunction with Chesnutt Park located at the corner of Fifth and Maple. There is convenient and ample parking, as well as handicap accessibility. The clinic plans to utilize the park by having community activities.  The clinic will be staffed by Dr. Gordon Kern MD and Curtis Mellen, PA-C.
Initial delivery and setup of the clinic started Monday but rainy weather caused it to be delayed until later in the week. The clinic is scheduled to open for patients  in July. The clinic will care for all ages of patients with a wide range of services. Transportation to and from the clinic is available.
This new clinic in Chetopa is the second clinic Oswego Community Hospital has opened. Oswego Community Clinic was opened in September of 2009.
The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. While the clinic is being prepared to open, you can utilize the Oswego Community Clinic where Dr. Gordon Kern and Curtis Mellen are currently practicing.
