A spaghetti dinner and auction fund raiser will be held this Saturday, March 13, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Chetopa Multipurpose Room. Proceeds will go to assist Sam Nading with medical expenses. Included in the meal in addition to spaghetti will be salad, bread and a drink.
Sam, a resident of Chetopa, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, a very rare form of cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Items to be auctioned off include a new Husqvarna Weed Eater, a custom built gun cabinet, savings bonds, numerous gift certificates for things such as tanning and a full automobile detailing, gift baskets, a metric socket set, coin collections, and other items too numerous to mention. Desserts of all varieties will also be up for auction.
