PARSONS—Bessie Marie Gamblian, 72, of Parsons, Kan., died at 5:47 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Her death was not expected.

OSWEGO—John H. Shearhart, 78, of Oswego, Kan., formerly of Mound Valley, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Mound Valley Lighthouse. Burial will be in Mound Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.

Josh Rhodenbaugh
PARSONS—Josh Rhodenbaugh, 27, of Parsons, Kan., died Monday evening, March 22, 2010, at his home. He had been in failing health, but his death was unexpected.
No services are scheduled at this time. Following cremation, the family will conduct a private burial on the family farm north of Salina. Mable Neville
COFFEYVILLE—Mable Roberts Neville, 86, of Coffeyville, Kan., passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kan.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 29, at North Edna Cemetery, Edna, Kan., with Rev. David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church officiating.
Friends may call Sunday, March 28, from noon until 8 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
Services are under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, Coffeyville.
Mable was born March 9, 1924, in Neodesha, Kan., to Everett and Dorothy Roberts.
She married Conan Charles (Chuck) Neville on June 1, 1946, in Tulsa, Okla. After living a short while in Coffeyville, they moved to the farm, one mile north of Valeda, Kan. They raised cattle, farmed and had a trucking business. Mabel worked for Dr. Ellis and Dr. Ralph Alters, before receiving her licenses to work with Home Health Patients, and worked for Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and Windsor Place. In 1989, they moved back to Coffeyville where she and her husband bred and showed their prize winning English bulldogs.
She was a member of the Tyro Christian Church.
Those surviving are two step-brothers, Bill and Bob Thomas, Bartlesville, Okla., a number of nieces and a nephew, and lifetime friends and caregivers, Sharon Kuehn of South Coffeyville, Okla., and Beverly Larrick, of DeSoto, Kan.
Preceding in death were her husband, Conan; her parents; a step-father, Baird Thomas; three sisters, Delsie Roberts, Elsie Mangrum and Margaret Hollis; and one step brother Charles Thomas.
James “Jim” Powell
PARSONS—James “Jim” Powell, 85, of Parsons, Kan., died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Woodridge Estates in Parsons. He had been in failing health.

GARDEN CITY—Lenora E. Tresner, 83, of Garden City, Kan., a former Parsons, Kan., resident, died Friday, March 27, 2010, at her home in Garden City. Death followed a lengthy period of failing health.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons. Friends may call at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons at their convenience after noon Tuesday.
