The GPDA acquired 2,600 acres of the KSAAP on Tuesday for a cost of $1.00, and chairman Bob Wood and past-chairman James McCarty jointly signed the check that would be sent to the Army. The second parcel will contain about 6,100 additional acres and will transfer for $49,999, plus a revenue-sharing program scheduled for the upcoming 10-years. The total cost of all property will not exceed $3,450,000, with payments ending at 10-years, regardless of how much has been paid.
