Chetopa Schools Principal Ebony Hart shared emotional personal reflections on Dr. King’s legacy in her life, at the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration in Oswego on Saturday. More than 70 people attended the 17th annual event organized by Floyd and Carol Cavitt of Oswego.

Nikki Lewis has been appointed as the Oswego City Treasurer. Nikki is an Oswego native who graduated from Oswego High School and attended Labette Community College. She is the daughter of Wes and Sandi Overman, Oswego, and Elmer and Cindy Sparlin, Oswego.

The Oswego Fire Department and law enforcement officers were called to the Diamond Coach Corp. in Oswego following a roof collapse on the south side of the facility, Wednesday, Jan. 13, around 3 p.m.
