Desks had been moved before the reorganization meeting Monday of the county commission, Jan. 11. The commission voted for Brian Kinzie to become chairman of the board and Commissioner Jack Martin will be vice chair. Commissioner Lonie Addis handed the gavel over to Kinzie.
The reorganization meeting continued with approving the nine holidays as: Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas and New Year’s.
The commission approved all lending institutions in the county as depositories; Parsons Sun as the county newspaper; Nancy Herrenbruck of Pittsburg as the hearing officer, and approved to use the GAP Waiver for auditing purposes.
