ALTAMONT—Delpha Mae (Kennard) Reed, 88, of Altamont, Kan., died at 4:12 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Labette Health in Parsons.
A farewell service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at the Altamont United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.

Delpha was born July 11, 1921, at Golden City, Mo., to William W. and Tirzah (Litle) Kennard. At the age of three, her family moved to Colorado where she grew up and attended schools and was a graduate of Granada High School. She enjoyed cooking, piecing quilts, sewing and caring for her children and grandchildren. She was known for her delicious pies.
On Aug. 27, 1938, she and Roland C. Reed were married in Lamar, Colo. They moved to the Altamont area in January 1940, where they have since resided. Her husband of 71 years survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jerald Reed and wife Mary, Parsons; Larry Reed and wife Donna, Grove, Okla.; one daughter, Kay Wages and husband Terry, Topeka; and six grandchildren, Delvin Reed and wife Cheryl, Altamont; Kristine (Reed) Foussadier and husband Keith, Turnersville, NJ; Thad Wages and wife DiAnna, Austin, Texas; Brant Reed and wife Stacie, Springfield, Mo.; Kamille (Wages) Lamb and husband Jeremy, Topeka; Nicole (Reed) Dean and husband Charles, Oswego; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Page, Coushatta, La.; and five nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Omer and Chester Kennard.

VINITA, Okla.—Vicky Darlene McCosh, 48, of Vinita, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, in Vinita.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa.

PARSONS—Rev. Bobby G. “Bob” Robison, 77, of Parsons, Kan., died at his home at 10:55 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m, Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene. Graveside committal services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Oaks Cemetery near Bella Vista, Ark.
