Jordan K. Russell, a senior at Oswego High School, was recently announced as the statewide winner of the high school senior division of the 10th annual Kansas Don’t Spoil It! Calendar Contest, sponsored by the Kansas Department of Health & Environment Bureau of Waste Management.
The contest results in the publication of a yearly calendar featuring artworks promoting recycling, reuse and waste reduction to conserve Kansas’s natural resources.
Each page features winning artwork by a student in the corresponding grade in school. For instance, January’s page will feature the artwork of a first grader, while December will feature Russell’s work as a senior.
