It has been a full 60 years since an undefeated team has hailed from OHS

With the Oswego High School Indians taking their undefeated football season into sub-state playoffs this week, several OHS residents headed to the Oswego Historical Museum this past week to check old newspaper files.
Phil Blair, Eleanor Monroe, Tom Horn, Rena Russell and Jean Snyder pawed through old newspapers and micro-film, trying to find articles about past teams that might have been undefeated.
What they found was an undefeated team in 1939 and another in 1949, plus a team in 1933 that never gave up a point in a game all season long, tying LCHS in their final game, 0-0.

Read this week’s Labette Avenue for the complete story and pictures.
