Labette County High School’s varsity football team can earn a spot in the class 4A state playoffs with a victory over Parsons on Thursday night in Altamont.
The two teams will square off Thursday night not only for the final game of the class 4A district playoffs but also for the the bragging rights of Labette County. Should Craig Hartman’s LCHS Grizzlies survive the game, then the Grizzlies will be the class 4A district playoff runners-up (Columbus has clinched the district playoff championship title).
Should LCHS win, then the Grizzlies will advance to the opening round of the class 4A state playoffs next Tuesday night, Nov. 3, in Independence. The Bulldogs secured its district playoff championship title last Friday with a victory over Fredonia.
