Amber Preble, Oswego, is the second winner in the Labette Avenue Smiley Face Contest, which is promoted elsewhere in this edition. There were 22 entries this week.
Amber will receive $20 for winning and the contest will continue through September. At the end of the month, a final winner will be announced from all of the entries who will receive an iPod Nano.
Search today’s Labette Avenue for the tiny smiley face that you’ll find somewhere within a news item. It looks like this ϑ (do not consider this as the winning spot).
The smiley face in the Sept. 16 edition was printed on page 3B at the end of the Notice of Sheriff’s sale.
