The Labette County Commission approved to purchase four motor graders at the July 27 meeting, from Murphy Tractor and Equipment of Wichita gave the low bid of $638,420
with trade.
At Monday’s commission meeting, opening of bids to finance the motor graders was held with two bidders. Team Bank of Parsons was 4.99 percent and John Deere lease rate was 3.5 percent.
IN OTHER ACTION at Monday’s meeting:
• Commissioner Lonie Addis asked Counselor Fred Johnson to give an update on the Jason Piercefield property located in Chetopa. Johnson said the case is in the hearing process with the state on a recycling center. A public notice on the Piercefield Co. application for a solid waste processing facility permit is being reviewed. (A copy of this legal publication is in this week’s legal notices).
