The Altamont will hosts its annual celebration of Flag Day on Saturday, June 14.
The Altamont Flag Day committee, along with Dianna Wells and Amanda Pierce, organizers, announce the following activities this year: Fire Department will be offering  biscuits and gravy breakfast, from 6-9 a.m. 5K and one mile fun run will start at 7:30 a.m.

The historic log house located in Oswego is featured in this week’s Labette Avenue.

There are photos of volunteer workers who are making needed repairs to the structure which was built in 1867, only two years after the end of the Civil War.

The Oswego Community Hospital will hold its Sixth Annual Health Fair on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to noon.
This is a hospital effort to do a community service by giving free screenings and at the same time make it a fun, family day which will also acquaint those in the community with the Oswego Hospital facilities and its offerings. The theme this year will be “Come Grow with Us.”
