Volunteers needed for Avenue of Flags

Volunteers are needed this Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, at the Oswego Cemetery. The flags of 259 deceased veterans will be raised at 6:30 in the morning and lowered at 5 in the afternoon. With so many flags and poles to handle, the success of this patriotic display can continue only if there are enough volunteers. If you can’t help out in the morning, come out at five that afternoon; people are needed then because the flags need to be refolded for storage.
If inclement weather threatens, cancellation will be made at 6:30 Memorial Day morning at the cemetery by the officers of the Avenue of Flags.
