Baccalaureate and graduation to be held at area schools

Celebrations centered on the Class of 2008 will begin this Sunday with the first area Baccalaureate service.

Labette County High School will hold Baccalaureate at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 11, in Harrison Auditorium. Oswego High School will have a 7 p.m. service on Wednesday, May 14, held at the Oswego Christian Church. Chetopa High School’s Baccalaureate will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 18.

Graduations are scheduled for the May 16-18 weekend with Labette Community College holding their commencement at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 16, in Parsons Municipal Auditorium. The next graduation will be Oswego High School at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17. Labette County High School will graduate their seniors at 8 p.m., Saturday, at Harrison Auditorium.

On Sunday, May 18, Welch High School will hold commencement at 2 p.m. in Wild Cat Gym. Chetopa High School will hold commencement at 4 p.m. in the new gym followed by the junior high school graduation at 6 p.m.
