Dr. Charles (Chuck) Stockton will succeed Dr. Dennis Wilson in July as superintendent of USD 506 following his hiring last Monday, April 14 by the board of education.

Stockton currently serves as the assistant to the superintendent serves as the assistant to the superintendent of Springfield R-XII Public Schools in Springfield, Mo., and previously served as superintendent of Clay County and Lorraine School Districts in Kansas and as principal and business teacher at nearby Cherryvale High School.

Stockton’s family includes his wife of 20 years, Vickie, also an educator with 15 years experience as an elementary teacher, and their son Chase, who is currently in the fourth grade. Vickie is an alumnus of USD 506 having graduated from LCHS in 1982.
