Howard Swimming Pool announces summer lessons

The Howard City Pool has announced the summer swimming lesson information. Children in the community are encouraged to participate and learn how to swim in a safe, clean environment.

The first session will be held each Monday-Thursday from June 23-July 3. Fridays are used only for make-up if inclement weather arrises. The first session schedule follows:

8:30-9:15 - Level VI, Skill Proficiency; Level V, Stroke Refinement
9:30-10:15 - Level IV, Stroke Development
10:30-11:15 - Level III, Stroke Readiness (must have taken Level III or passed Level II)
11:15-noon - Level II, Primary Skills (ages 6-7 with some water experience or knowledge)

The second session will be held each Monday-Thursday from July 7-17. The second session schedule follows:

8-8:45 - Level VI, Skill Proficiency; Level V, Stroke Readiness; Level IV, Stroke Development
9-9:45 - Level III, Stroke Readiness (must have taken Level III or passed Level II)
10-10:45 - Level II, Primary Skills (ages 6-7 with some water experience or knowledge)
11-11:30 - Level I, Water Exploration (for ages 4, 5, 6 or any child not familiar with being in water)

Student/family swim nights will be announced for each session.
